The coolest pillows ever
Monday, October 12th, 2009
These have to be the coolest pillows ever, at least if you dig old 80’s synths like we do:

And you can also order an unique piece from the seller if you have a favorite piece of instrument that isn’t available on PUL(SEW)IDTH’s Etsy shop.
Super cute!
Album cover art day 1
Monday, June 29th, 2009
The deadline for the album cover art is closing so we better start working. While we’re at it we thought it would be cool to document the process and give some sneak previews of what is going to be the TV OFF album cover.
Here we go, day 1, photoshoots.
Minor problem: the heat wave hit Helsinki so the bananas are close to dead.
Take me to your leader – vending robots running around Tokyo
Monday, June 8th, 2009
You can get almost anything from vending machines in Tokyo, they are in every street corner. It seems some of the machines have reached a level of intelligence far beyond the human mind and now seek to conquer the world.
Coca-Cola made these robotic vending machines for a campaign and released them on the streets of Tokyo. Just wondering if they actually worked and you could buy a can of Coke from them – probably did.
There’s a Flickr photo group for Japanese vending machines, they are cool and oh so handy.
Fruit Juice!
Monday, April 6th, 2009
We love fruit juices, they’re yummy! The packaging design by the Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa makes them look even more yummy:
That’s both hilarious and delicious looking.
Really waiting for our trip to Japan!
More cassette madness
Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009
To continue on my earlier post about cassette culture, I just got a tip about the coolest retro design ever. It’s a prototype concept but I really really hope someone goes ahead and makes it available.

It’s a portable digital music player, also known as an mp3 player! There’s nothing revolutionary about the concept but it simply looks stunning. The really imaginative idea here is that you would be able to rewind/forward a song by rotating the spools by your finger, just like you used to do in the age of the real cassette tape. That’s funny.
See more of it on the Yanko Design site.
Cassette culture
Wednesday, February 11th, 2009
Cassette tapes, we love them! There’s something so magical about them although probably lots of it is just pure nostalgia. In the digital age when no one actually uses cassettes, they are reappearing as design thingies all around us. And for people like us who happen to have a lot of old cassettes around just gathering dust (how could you throw such beautiful things with music on them away?), there’s now alternative uses for the D.I.Y minded:
