Two recent art project we have come across have one thing in common: they play with shadows.
Ever played with hand shadows? The British artists Tim Noble and Sue Webster sure have. And now they are doing it with piles of rubbish, just take a look:

That’s a picture of a piece called “White Trash (With Gulls)”, one of their earliest shadow work. That’s really the shadow of that pile of rubbish projected on the wall. There’s more to be seen at Environmental Graffiti blog. Btw, that’s six months of household waste – this artist couple has a few things to say about the way we live.
On a lighter note, Katie Sokoler has real fun with shadows. She taped paper shadow people onto street walls in Brooklyn and photographed people walking by at the exact moment they matched their shadows. Her photos are really funny and positive:

Here’s more pictures of her Shadow Project, guaranteed to make you smile.
Katie Sokoler also runs a blog worth checking out, she seems to have a positively colorful view on life. It’s called Color Me Katie.

Now THAT IS what I call an insightful take on things. What I would advise though is speaking to other people involved in the scene and bring to light any different points of view and then update your site or create a new post for us to . I hope you’ll take my ideas, I’m looking forward to it! Try to cover off on some graffiti characters as well if possible, they’re everywhere at the moment.
