Probably the most amazing piece of sample based music since DJ Shadow’s Endtroducing, this guy called Kutiman just released his Thru You project on the Internet a week ago. I’m excited, it’s something new, really creative and bound to create a whole new thing – just like Endtroducing, I wonder how many kids bought a sampler just because of DJ Shadow (I know I did).
Kutiman created seven video/song remixes from bits and pieces of videos found on YouTube, glued them together and actually made quite impressive music out of those “this is me playing guitar” home videos.
